[ so, soon after that clusterfuck of a trial ends, the three hunters will all find their way back to room 112. even though their next meeting is just a few days away, sometimes you just can't wait that long.

as soon as the door closes behind him, jay will look at his two companions, not looking very pleased. ]

All three of us were sloppy tonight. We may have painted targets on ourselves if anyone was watching too closely.

Or at least you, Kaito, if he won't trust the rest of us. [ actually, that reminds him. ] Chie is the Chef and Dirk is the Photographer. Jake is the one who told me Dirk's role, but I'm going to try to see if Dirk has taken pictures of anything that might be of interest.

I'll ask. Andersen pretty much confirmed my suspicions about him being the Private Investigator, and I think. . . he trusts me more now than he did before.

It's a little frustrating, though... that we can't just tell everyone that they ought to trust you two because the three of us are here to protect them all.

It'll make us walking targets. But it would certainly make things easier if people didnt keep throwing roadblocks at us.

We should be prepared in case any of us are targeted after this weekend though. I want you both to know I keep the supplies I stole under my bed. Jake would let you in the room to get them if you ask.

Yeah. . . I thought about that, too. I'm also gonna write some things down for people and keep those notes under my bed. Just in case.

We probably need to consider asking Light to protect one of us.

...I'll be writing some notes as well, and... I'll give them to Quer-san. You can trust her not to tamper with them.

[She nods slowly.]

I'll talk to him. There's a delay between when his choice is made and when the person he picks is affected, though... it might not be fast enough for this weekend.

Maybe... the three of us should stay together, Thursday night. We might be able to use my role if a Prophet comes for us.

... I think so too. There's still the chance that the magic of this place could easily remove one of us from the room, but that would be the safest choice for us this week. And then next week, we can ask Light to protect one of us.

[ he looks at kaito. ]

And until Thursday, we should probably avoid each other in public. Just in case someone's watching.

[tugs at his sling idly, a nervous motion now that he can't stuff his hands into his pockets]

[ yukina's words are... weirdly touching, even if she only meant it from a tactical point of view. he shifts slightly, trying to ignore this strange feeling.

[his smile is warm and playful, eyes lighting up for the first time since the trial]

I'll bring snacks and games for Thursday. We'll have a party.
