[ sometime after the fun morning everyone had finding body parts, jay will run into light.

jay looks exhausted, but he slows to a stop when he sees him. ]

This is going to be a long weekend.

[It makes sense. He didn't know about the change of plans, until Yukina tried to kill him with a chainsaw.]

Regardless, the point is that he knows of my motivations. That I want to help in order to return home as quickly as possible. There's no denying it now.

So is that what I can expect then? More arguing at tomorrow's trial? Or is there another nasty surprise you intend to spring on me at the last minute?

The only nasty surprise we had planned is no longer viable because of Tsurugi's death.

[ he sounds disappointed. ]

[welp.]

What were you planning?

[ninjay]

We were going to let you all talk to the Unclean herself. It might have been therapeutic to yell at the one in charge instead of at everyone else for once.

[ he looks amused for a second, but the expression doesn't last long. ]

But that's now off the table.

[godly]

[Okay, and now Light's looking disappointed, but as always, it's edged with annoyance.]

And Tsurugi was the key to doing that, I assume?

[ninjay]

Normally, you can only talk to the Unclean in the shrine where the Prophets have their meetings. Tsurugi's role, however, allowed him access to talk to her wherever.

[ and he knows people have been wanting to know more about their lovely host. ]

[godly]

I see.

[Then that really is a lost opportunity.]

And what information have you managed to gather about this "Unclean"?

[ninjay]

Besides the fact that the chances of us actually being able to stop her are basically nonexistent?

[ it's a little sad seeing people still be insistent that they can beat the game some other way. ]

You know the sun up there? That's her.

[godly]

[Wait, what.]

She is the sun? Or is your meaning that it's some kind of illusion?

[ninjay]

I'm not sure if she is really a sun, but when you look up in the sky here, that's her. She's just a gigantic eye.

[ she's not very pretty to look at. ]
