Considering certain things both Jake and Dirk have told us, I don't share the same belief that either of them would have. Jake, at least, made it clear that he would prefer to leave everyone dead.

[ jay didn't talk to dirk himself, but from what he gathered from kaito's conversation with him, it was basically the same. ]

Percival would have though, that's true.

As long as my incentives are taken care of then I don't need to go home. They're all that matters to me.

[ he's frowning. ]

Personally, I'd prefer if Kaito didn't take the deal because what he has to do back home should be done by him, and not through incentives.

My profile card mentioned them-- the otters? They're actually a species called Oresoren. My incentive for becoming a Hunter was to make sure nothing ever happened to them. I don't need to be around for that.

No, they're happy where they are. It was to keep them safe, period. From the ritual, from war-- the only thing that's a danger to them now is old age.
